My Background

Education

I graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Sociology. After graduating, I moved on earning a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology degree from the APA-Accredited California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University in Los Angeles, CA. 

Clinical Training and Employment

I have enjoyed my work with my clients in private practice and throughout clinics and counseling centers in North County San Diego and the greater Los Angeles Area. My clinical training was completed at the University of Southern California (USC), Glen Roberts Child Study Center, California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) and Mount St. Mary’s University (MSMU). In these centers, I was able to focus my expertise psychotherapy with adults, young adults, adolescents, and families. 

In addition to my enjoyment in private practice,  I am the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at California State University, San Marcos (CSUSM), overseeing all operational aspects of the provision of mental health services on campus and serving as a mental health consultant for the campus, including serving on the campus threat assessment team.  I sit on the Governing Board and am Treasurer of the Organization of California Counseling Directors in Higher Education.  I had the enriching experience of working with The People Concern (previously OPCC) in Santa Monica, CA providing low income, marginalized populations, and the unhoused mental health services and support toward permanent housing.

Clinical Supervision and Consultation  

I expanded development and attained full accreditation of the American Psychological Association’s accredited Internship at CSUSM, serving as the Training Director from 2016-2023. I created the practicum and Post-Doctoral Training Program at the Santa Monica hub of The People Concern. Through these programs and externally through private practice, I have provided extensive clinical supervision to Master’s Level, Pre-Doctoral, and Post-Doctoral mental health trainees. 

Academics 

I have served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University in the Psy.D. clinical doctoral program as well as Adjunct Faculty in the Master’s Degree program in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University. Additionally, I previously acted as Supervisory Faculty at CSPP in the Office of Professional Training as an advisor and liaison for doctoral level students in their practicum training.
